xFarm closes €36 million funding round

Ticino Technopole celebrates its tenth anniversary with the largest funding round in its history: xFarm Technologies closes a Series C round of €36 million. In its ten years of operation, the Technopole has supported the growth of 72 companies, which have collectively raised nearly 80 million Swiss francs in funding.

Today, Ticino Technopole hosted a press conference to announce an important milestone: xFarm Technologies, one of the scale-ups based at Tecnopolo, has closed a €36 million Series C funding round. The round, led by prominent investors such as Partech and Mouro Capital, will enable xFarm to further expand in Europe, the United States, India, and Latin America, accelerating the adoption of sustainable practices such as Regenerative Agriculture.

At the end of the conference, Lorenzo Ambrosini, Director of Fondazione Agire, presented a special award to Martino Poretti, Co-founder of xFarm, to celebrate the highest funding round ever achieved by a Ticino Technopole company since its opening in 2014. This achievement highlights the value of the Technopole's ecosystem, which has supported the growth of 72 companies over the past ten years, raising nearly 80 million Swiss francs in funding.

Luca Bolzani, President of Fondazione Agire, stated: «We are extremely proud of the success of xFarm Technologies, a milestone that underscores the value of the work done by our Agency and the entire system. This excellent result not only deserves admiration but we hope it will serve as an example and inspiration for other initiatives already present at the Technopole or for future companies that will settle here. For over ten years, we have been supporting startups and innovative companies, offering a solid and dynamic network that fosters their growth. This funding round confirms the effectiveness of our approach, and we are excited to continue supporting other businesses towards equally ambitious goals.»

Stefano Rizzi, Director of the Economic Division of Canton Ticino and Vice President of Fondazione Agire, added: «In these ten years, Ticino Technopole has established itself as an essential pillar for the Regional Innovation System. xFarm’s success demonstrates how startups that choose to settle here can achieve extraordinary results, both in terms of growth and capital attraction. We are committed to continuing to provide a fertile environment for innovation, to the benefit of our Canton’s economic development.»
