Action Day: il 16 settembre la terza edizione

On September 16, 2025, Action Day returns to the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano. The event, promoted by Fondazione Agire, is designed to support Ticino-based SMEs in their innovation and digital transformation processes, featuring talks, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a large exhibition area.

Fondazione Agire announces the third edition of Action Day, the annual event dedicated to digital transformation and innovation development in Ticino SMEs. After the success of the previous editions, which attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs and professionals from numerous companies, the 2025 edition aims to offer an even richer day of content, providing concrete tools to tackle change and enhance the competitiveness of the local economic landscape.

The main theme of the day will be the analysis of the key technological and human trends shaping business development. The program will be structured into two parallel sessions:

  • Technology Factor – exploring emerging technology frontiers and their practical, operational application within businesses;
  • Human Factor – addressing the evolving dynamics of the working world, promoting an organizational culture that values people and prepares for future challenges.

The day will open with institutional greetings, followed by a keynote speech by Dalith Steiger-Gablinger, entrepreneur and co-founder of SwissCognitive, an international platform that connects experts, companies, and institutions to promote the ethical, conscious, and strategic adoption of artificial intelligence.

The 2025 format also includes two thematic panel discussions at the end of the morning, one for each session, featuring experts and entrepreneurs in an open dialogue on technology, business, and society.

New to this edition is a dedicated space for showcasing selected startups from the Ticino innovation ecosystem. The featured startups have been identified by key ecosystem players - Fondazione Agire, USI Startup Centre, and Aiti-Up - for their innovative projects with strong business applicability. The day will conclude with an interactive demo designed to offer attendees an immersive experience on the topics explored throughout the event.

As every year, Action Day will also host a more than 800 m² exhibition area, where companies and research institutions will present technological solutions, digital transformation projects, and success stories. The event offers a unique opportunity to network, activate new collaborations, and share best practices.

Andrea Barni, Digital Coach at Fondazione Agire, stated: "Action Day was created to provide tangible support to local SMEs in a transformation process that is now essential. Innovation is not only about adopting new technologies: it’s about rethinking models, skills, and organizational cultures. This third edition aims to foster connections, spread knowledge, and spark new ideas to pragmatically address today’s complexity."
