Boldbrain: Here are the startups for the 2025 edition

The expert committee has selected the 20 projects that will participate in the 2025 edition of Boldbrain Startup Challenge, the acceleration programme for early-stage startups organised by Fondazione Agire in collaboration with USI Startup Centre. The program will officially kick off on August 28 at the Suglio Business Center in Manno.

This year, Boldbrain set a new record: 141 total applications, with 78 deemed eligible according to the admission criteria, the best result since the program’s launch in 2018. The most represented sectors include ICT, Social Entrepreneurship/Education, and Sport/Leisure/Tourism/Lifestyle, confirming the horizontal nature of the accelerator.

All selected startups come from Switzerland: 16 from Ticino, 3 from Zurich, and 1 from Zug. Among them, 19 are already incorporated as companies, and several have prototypes or beta versions of their products, evidence of the growing maturity of the regional innovation ecosystem.

Over the three-month acceleration program, the teams will be guided by professional coaches through six workshops and mentoring sessions dedicated to developing their business models. The journey will culminate in the Award Ceremony on December 3, 2025, at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, where the ten finalists will present their projects to the audience.
