Voltwall wins third edition of Boldbrain Startup Challenge

Despite a year full of unforeseen events and new challenges, the early-stage startup accelerator Boldbrain Startup Challenge was able to conclude its entire program by making it to the finals and award ceremony held yesterday. Finalists were judged by the national jury based on six main evaluation criteria: market potential, business model, team, innovation, pitch and documents quality, and impact for Ticino.

The first prize was awarded to voltWALL, a project very well rooted in our canton that aims at sustainable development in the field of energy. VoltWALL has developed xBlade, a module at the base of all its products that provides flexible solutions for solar energy storage. In second place was Finar Module Tech with a new technology designed for public lighting, in third place 4Devices Medical with a revolutionary 4D stent for the treatment of hydrocephalus, in fourth place WYTH with its virtual platforms capable of connecting up to 1 million people and in fifth place UNIVERSUS-OS with its unique Operating System composed of hardware and software, designed for real-time identification, verification and analysis of simultaneous compliance with all legal obligations and corporate safety rules.

The HemarGroup special prizes were also awarded at the ceremony, won by voltWALL and Smart Power Center, while the project that most convinced the public was UNIVERSUS-OS, which thus won an additional prize.
