Boldbrain: The seventh edition kicks off

Yesterday evening in Manno, at the headquarters of Fondazione Agire and Tecnopolo Ticino, the seventh edition of our accelerator for early-stage startups and innovative ideas Boldbrain Startup Challenge officially began.
In the presence of the 20 coaches involved in the program, the project promoters, and representatives of the sponsors, the 2024 teams participated in the traditional “Kick-off Meeting.” This first event celebrates the meeting between teams and coaches, officially launching the program, which includes thematic workshops, personalized coaching sessions, and targeted events. Out of these teams, only 10 will make it to the final awards evening, scheduled for December 4, 2024, to compete for one of the many prizes offered by the organizers, supporters, and sponsors, with a total value of over 200,000 Swiss francs.

*In accordance with the program’s regulations, unfortunately, two projects were excluded after the selection process.
The main sectors represented this year include ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), Medtech, Energy/Cleantech, and Fintech/Insurance Tech. In addition to the diversity of sectors, the selected startups also display significant variety in their stages of development: some are already established companies, others have a prototype of their product, and three are already active in the market, while one is currently under consideration at the USI Startup Centre. Seventy-two percent of the startups are from Switzerland, with 10 from the Canton of Ticino. The projects will be officially presented to the public only at the end of the program, during the Awards Ceremony in December.
