Not just technology: skills and methodology drive SME growth

In an increasingly competitive market with limited resources, the growth of Ticino-based SMEs depends not only on technology, but above all on skills and a sound method. Digitising commercial processes (e-commerce, digital payments, CRM) helps generate better leads, increase conversions, and improve cash-flow management; adopting “lightweight” AI tools integrated into sales and marketing can also boost efficiency and productivity without major fixed costs. The critical point is to avoid isolated solutions and invest in internal training: simply rolling out tools like Copilot or ChatGPT is not enough without the ability to use them effectively. The most effective path is gradual and measurable: clear objectives, modular solutions, a dedicated internal owner, monitored KPIs, and a test-and-learn approach—leveraging local support channels where available.
